After much anticipation, the Turkish team arrived on 3rd February at 12:00 at the Karviná railway station. The students and teachers of Gymnázium Karviná gave them a warm welcome, the students took their guests home and the teachers departed for Hotel Sport in the centre of Karviná.

In the evening, the teachers of Gymnázium Karviná took their Turkish counterparts for a short tour of the town and for dinner at the Baron restaurant, where details of the schedule were specified.
