Departure Day

Early in the morning, we got on a bus to take us to the airport. After arriving at the wrong terminal, we took a taxi to the right one and boarded our plane to Prague. We arrived before 12 o'clock local time. In Prague we waited for train connection to Karviná, where we got at 8:50 p.m. after a tiring day, but safe and sound after a groovy week full of fun and interesting activities. See you and thank you for being with us!

Day Six

This was the last day of the meeting. In the morning we played traditional Turkish games that our friends showed us. After lunch got back to the hotel and went to an amusement park with them. What a great way to finish a meeting! :-)

Day Five

Our work on the project activities continued on Friday. We talked about traditions and feasts and our common future in Europe. After lunch we were shown traditional art techniques, which we tried ourselves. Then we set out for the Old Town, where our friends had organised an orienteering game. After reaching the destination - the amphitheatre in the harbour, we did some shopping at the old bazaar and went back to the hotel.

Day Four

Today we showed our friends problems and solutions of why people migrate to other countries. We heard very interesting opinions from the turkish side about how they see migration itself. Then we prepared a short presentation about religions. We had a short discussion about the similarities and differencies of Christianity and Islam. Afterwards we went to visit an acient town called Perge, where we saw ruins of the old city. In the evening we had dinner with one of our Turkish friends and later he gave us a tour of the city. We went to see the old town and marine.

Day Three

The third day is behind us and all that is left are positive vibes. We started by talking about immigration and refugees in Turkey. First of all we showed them a video of us interviewing Czech people about the issue. After that we discussed the issue in groups and presented our ideas. In the afternoon we went to the Antalya museum where we admired findings from excavations sites around Antalya. We enjoyed it just as much as ours Turkish friends! After coming back to the hotel, we went to the beach and had a dip in the sea. What a perfect ending to a day. :-)

Day Two

music and dance - cultural heritage - visit to the mayor

Today we started with international culture, especially music and dances. We taught the Turks a Czech song and they showed us their dances. While we were waiting for the lunch, we played basketball. After the lunch we went hiking and climbed a hill nearby. There were a lot of ancient ruins and amazing views Then we took a bus to the city centre and visited the mayor of the Kepez district. So that's how we enjoyed our second day here in Antalya.

Arrival Day

After so many put-offs and problems due to the covid pandemic, we were excited to finally go to Antalya for our project meeting. We met at 1:30 a.m. at the Havířov train statioon to catch a night train to Prague. Then at 11:50, after a long waiting at the airport, our plane finally departed for Antalya. It was a tiresome journey, but we landed at 3:45 p.m. local time. We're accommodated at the Suite Laguna Hotel near the Konyaaltı beach and the Atatürk Park.
