Join Staff Training in Karviná
Day Four
On Friday morning, the teams visited the Družby primary school, which is mostly attended by pupils of the Roma minority, and children from an unfavourable background. We discussed inclusion and working with underprivileged children with local teachers. We also attended classes.
Mr. Miloš Kučera, the
headmaster of Gymnázium Karviná, welcomed the Turkish teachers in his office,
shared his thoughts on the project topic, and the teams finally met to evaluate the course of the project and write a project report.
Day Three
On Thursday, the teams paid a visit to the primary school "Komenského" to have a seminar on inclusion led by Mrs. Marcela Jagošová. She also showed the teams around the school, which specialises on working with students with mental disabilities. After returning to Gymnázium, we were shown an example of good practice of working with students with difficulties. We were joined by a student who suffers from dyslexia and dysgraphia and who explained his experience to us.
Day Two
On Wednesday, the teams had a discussion with minority students - five Polish and Vietnamese girls. They shared their experience of growing up in a foreign environment. Then we discussed stereotypes and how to avoid them. In the evening, both teams went
for dinner at the Ovečka restaurant in Karviná.
Day One
On the first day, the teams met at Gymnázium Karviná. We presented the school, talked about the Czech and Turkish education systems, discussed inclusion and state support with our counsellor Sylva Divišová and visited Château Fryštát.
Arrival Day
The Turkish delegation arrived on Monday 21st March 2022 through Vienna. They were accomodated at the Aldo guesthouse in Karviná.
