Day One

The teams met at 8 o'clock and the guests were welcomed by the Czech team at Gymnázium Karviná. After the official start of the meeting, the Czech team took the Turkish team for a tour of the school building and its premises. Mr. Miloš Kučera, the principal of Gymnázium Karviná, welcomed both the teachers and the students.

Then the students took part in a round of icebreaker games and activities. The winning logo of the project was announced, the author being Miss Barbora Dudová of Gymnázium Karviná. Both teams introduced their school systems and presented their interviews on stereotypes and prejudices. The teams then discussed stereotypes and their expectations of their partners.

The Czech team invited the Turkish team for lunch in their school canteen, and the hosts took their guests to their lessons. The teachers decided on the date of the upcoming mobility meeting, which is 19th–24th April 2020.

The Turkish team then introduced the cuisine of Turkey through samples brought from there and both teams showed and discussed their posters on the topic "How We See Our Partners". After that, the Czech students took their guests into town.
